Rooted Here – Bill has spent virtually his entire life in Marquette County. His family has called Gwinn home since the town was founded in 1908. A park bears his grandfather’s name. A VFW hall honors his uncle. This isn’t just where Bill lives – it’s where he belongs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Uniquely Qualified – Bill holds an Engineering degree from Michigan Tech and a Juris Doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School, graduating Cum Laude and passing the bar in the top 4% nationwide. He is licensed in Michigan, Wisconsin, multiple federal courts, and Tribal Court for the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community. He spent eight years with Naval Intelligence in Washington DC before building a civil law practice that brings him into District Court regularly. He has argued before the Michigan Court of Appeals and successfully argued before the Michigan Supreme Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A Life of Service – Bill has been a volunteer firefighter in Forsyth Township for over 20 years, serves as Marquette County Board Vice Chair, teaches Property Law at NMU, and has given pro bono legal work to dozens of local nonprofits. Service is a way of life for Bill. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
